چکیده

The dilution of commercial broiler feed with copra meal (CM), palm kernel (PKM) and cassava leaf (CLM) enzyme supplementation was investigated. Two hundred eighty 7-day old Cobb 500 broilers were fed alone or diluted the test ingredients without enzyme. There no interaction effects (p>0.05) on intake (FI) weight gain (WG). Poorer (p<0.05) conversion ratio (FCR) observed diet diets from 22-42 d, but this restored by supplementation. effect final body (FBW). Diet depressed FBW depression. Abdominal fat lighter CLM compared to CM. gut segments E. coli count. Heavier liver, gizzard intestine diets. Commercial CM, PKM at 100 g/kg for starter 200 finisher would be a viable option smallholder production. More research is needed into levels concentrations.

Effects of different levels of date pits in broilers’ feed contaminated with aflatoxin B1 on broilers’ performance and carcass characteristic

The aim of this study was to evaluate the ability of date pits (DP) to reduce the deleterious effects of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in broiler chicks. A total of 216 one-day-old male broiler chicks (Ross 308) were distributed randomly for nine treatments (with four replicates and six birds in each) for 35 days. The experiment included a 3×3 factorial arrangement of treatments involving three levels of...

Effect of Cereal Type and Enzyme Addition on Performance, Pancreatic Enzyme Activity, Intestinal Microflora and Gut Morphology of Broilers

The effects of grain and carbohydrase enzyme supplementation were investigated on digestive physiology of chickens. A total of 625 one-day-old chicks (Ross 308) were randomly assigned to five treatments in a completely randomized design. Treatments included two different types of grains (wheat, and barley) with or without a multi-carbohydrase supplement. A corn-based diet was also considered to...

Carcass and commercial cuts yield in broilers of different ages fed diets supplemented with probiotics

In this study, the carcass and commercial cuts weights and yields in broilers of different ages fed diets supplemented with probiotics were determined. A total of 336 male broiler chicks (Ross-308) were randomly allocated into three treatment groups (P0, P1 and P2). A basal diet (P0), basal diet plus 0.01% (P1) and 0.02% (P2) probiotic (Saccharomyces cerevisiae, 4x10 8 cfu g -1 ) were offered t...
